Preparing for Postpartum Class
With so much focus placed on prenatal care and the birth itself, many moms forget the importance of planning properly for their postpartum experience. Join us for a live, 2-hour class designed to get you thinking through the ins and outs of your postpartum time.
Specifically we’ll be covering the process from immediately after birth through 4 weeks postpartum. I’ll be sharing tips for making this transition time smooth and peaceful for you and your family.

Postpartum Doula
There is a huge gap in care for most mothers after the birth of their child. Many providers don't have contact with the mother for up to 6 weeks following the birth (a lot can happen/come up over this time!) Having a postpartum doula helps to fill the "care gap" after delivery. Services provided during this time would involve in-home care (cooking, holding baby, breastfeeding support, nutrition coaching, sleep coaching and more!)
Specifically this includes:
Third trimester planning
Before your baby’s birth, we will meet for a 1-hour session to discuss and map out your ideal postpartum experience
Daily check-ins
I will be checking in with you via text or call during the first week postpartum
In-home postpartum care
6 weeks of in-home postpartum care, 1 3-hour visit per week, care based on your needs
Several meals and snacks will be prepared during the in-home postpartum care
Access to me by phone and email for the first year of the baby’s life
Investment: $1,500
Dial-a-Doula
Sometimes it can be helpful to have a doula on call for phone/text support (this is separate from birth or postpartum doula services). With this option, you can pay by the week to have access to me via text, phone and email with any questions that arise during your prenatal or postpartum time. (This is not a suitable option for labor support.)
Investment: $55/hour
Birth/postpartum Navigation Call
A 1-hour call to help you think through a plan for either your birth or your postpartum time. (This is a great route if you're not ready to commit to hiring a birth/postpartum doula.)
Investment: $55
Birth Doula
Need support leading up to, during and after labor? This option has it all. We will meet around 36 weeks to plan your birth. Once labor begins, and you need support, I will come to you. I will not leave you until a few hours after birth, only once you feel comfortable.
What’s included:
In-home prenatal session
During this session we would cover your birth goals and come up with a plan to achieve those goals. Additionally, this session could inform a 1-page document to be given to your provider prior to the birth
Childbirth education class (either in-person or virtual)
Preparing for postpartum class (either in-person or virtual)
Birth center/hospital/home support
From the time you need back-up to 1-2 hours after your birth. I will only leave once you feel comfortable and at ease.
On-call support: 24-hours a day on call support beginning at 36 weeks gestation. Leading up to this, I will regularly check in on you once a decision to work together has been made.
Initial lactation support: involves assistance with skin-to-skin contact immediately following the birth. We will go over cues, positions, etc.
In-home follow up visit: I will be checking-in on you and enabling you an opportunity to share your birth story, reflect on healing and ask questions. I will be providing resources if requested.
Support for the first year: Access to me by phone and email for the first year of the baby’s life
Investment: $2,500
